Diamond Open Access

The journal follows the Diamond Open Access model. All published content is freely available on the journal’s website immediately upon publication.

  • Free for readers: full texts are accessible without subscription, registration, or any other barriers.

  • Free for authors: the journal does not charge any fees for submission, peer review, editorial processing, or publication (no APCs).

  • Copyright: authors retain copyright to their work.

  • License: articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, allowing reuse with proper attribution to the author(s) and the original publication in the journal.

  • Self-archiving: authors may deposit the published version in institutional repositories and/or on personal or scholarly platforms, provided that a link to the article on the journal’s website is included.

  • Funding: the journal is supported by university, enabling Diamond Open Access publishing.

Why Open Access?

According to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), “OA is not an end in itself, but a means to other ends, above all, to the equity, quality, usability, and sustainability of research”.

Advantages of “open access” are still being discussed, however, we believe this model is the best of all available models that provide access to innovative ideas without barriers.

How open are we?

We follow open publishing criteria established by SPARC, PLOS та OASPA such as:

  • Grant free readership rights to all articles immediately upon publication;
  • Grant generous reuse & remixing rights;
  • Author holds copyright with no restrictions;
  • We allow Authors to post any version to any repository or website with no delay;
  • Make copies of all articles automatically available in trusted third-party repositories;
  • Allow access to data through API.

In 2022 Crossref changed its distribution policy and now all reference metadata they receive is open. We send all necessary article metadata to Crossref in order to comply with I4OC standards for open citation.

Self-archiving

We encourage authors to deposit (self-archive) (a) submitted article, (b) accepted for publication article or (c) the final published version of the article in any suitable source (e.g., institutional or other specialized repositories, personal websites, etc.) without embargo period. In case of self-archiving authors should also acknowledge the Publisher and the Publication and deposit an URL to the article (if available).

All articles published by this Publication are published under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license that allows for unlimited use, distribution, and content reproduction on all media as long as original author and source are properly acknowledged and cited.

Authors retain copyright to their articles, excluding any third-party images and other material that are subject to copyright by their respective owners. Authors are free to distribute and republish articles as long as the original publication is cited.
